Dr. Ngonda's research focuses on the phytochemical analysis and evaluation of antimicrobial potential of indigenous medicinal plants used by communities in rural Malawi to treat some infectious diseases, in order to inform natural product science.

He is looking for collaborators in this field, since Malawi is well endowed with natural resources but lacks necessary capacity in terms of advanced equipment as well as access to modern research protocols.
