Justin Omolo

Using a re-entry grant from SABINA, Justin visited South Africa (the University of the Witwatersrand) to do some further work after his PhD. He has published two manuscripts so far; both are on the SABINA website. Justin is now a SABINA staff member, representing SABINA students during staff meetings. He is also involved in research activities with the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), Tanzania.

Justin and his colleagues have received $500,000 USD from SADC for a collaborative research project on HIV including four countries (Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Switzerland). Cultivation and preparation of the plants to get extracts will be done in Tanzania and the rest will be done in other countries.
