New Vision, Uganda: World Bank Announces $30 Million for MSI in Uganda
The World Bank has given Uganda US $30 million to boost its productivity and competitiveness through scientific and technological advancement. The funds will be channeled through the Millennium Science Initiative (MSI), a program run by the government to help universities and research institutes in the country to produce more and better-qualified science and engineering graduates, according to a press release issued yesterday. The project also aims at promoting more relevant, higher quality research for enhancing science and technology-led growth and economic transformation. Full article here.
